About

I am a poet, UX writer, and linguist based in Dublin, Ireland. I hold a B.A. in Creative Writing and Sociology from Florida State University and have had work featured in A Quiet Courage, Global Poemic, Alien Mouth, Anime Feminist, and Aaduna—among other journals. In 2019, I was awarded the Thomas Lux Fellowship at the West Palm Beach Poetry Festival, and have since gone on to work with literary non-profits such as Aaduna Magazine and O, Miami over the years as a literary consultant and workshop lead.

As a third culture kid, I see myself as being an eternal guest in people’s homes. Raised by Spanish and Brazilian parents, I was born in the US. However, a journalist's family never stays put for too long, and I spent some of my formative years in Argentina before moving back to the States. Raised in Miami, FL, I grew up around a cacophony of languages unique to Miami's Latine diaspora. As a result, my work lies in understanding audiences to better create a cultural bridge—and research and nuance center strongly in my work. Additionally, as a dual citizen of the US and the EU, I have access to a wide range of locations for travel, which has helped broaden my personal and professional networks considerably.

I offer technical and UX writing in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and hold certificates in SEO, marketing, and a UX Writing certificate from the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, WA. I am currently a member of the Emerging Translator's Association, the Society for Technical Communication, and the European Medical Writer's Association (EMWA).

In August 2023, I moved to Dublin, Ireland to complete my M.A. in Applied Linguistics at University College Dublin, with a focus on human-AI interaction and its impact on user's beliefs on morality as well as language ideologies. I completed my thesis in August 2024 and am now ready to reimagine the world of user experience under the fresh lens of practice theory, corpus linguistics, and UX.
